20220322_Deliberately Strong

In these classes we work with weights and we slow things down a little to focus on the time under tension. What does this mean? Basically…you will have a full-body resistance workout which challenges your muscles to work harder, and in turn improves your strength and body composition. In this 30 minute class expect 45 second intervals!

What do I need for class?

You will need a couple of different sized kettlebells or some dumbbells of different sizes, or an at-home pump set/smart bar and weights. If you only have two weights that is just fine - choose one that feels manageable and one that will challenge you. Obviously, we can lift different weights for different exercises and that’s why having at least a couple of choices will help with this.

Suitable for most abilities, except for ladies who may be pregnant. If you are unsure, contact us and we can advise before you try the workout. Always use your common sense, you know your body best, never do anything that causes pain, if in doubt with a particular exercise swap it for something you know works better for you.

These classes were originally filmed live in 2021/2 as the world re-emerged from the global pandemic, where many people had not exercised for some time. These classes were designed to ease people back into exercise in shorter bursts - suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced, with options given throughout to tailor to your level. Expect to challenge your cardiovascular system, strength and flexibility!
